NAD+ vial

NAD+

The cellular fuel tank. It's the coenzyme that powers every energy and repair reaction in your cells, and the single thing that refills what MOTS-c burns through while it builds you new mitochondria. If you're crashing, tired, or foggy, this is the baseline.

Your starting dose
25units
25 mg

Every day, AM, fasted, for the first 8 weeks or any MOTS-c rebuild. After that, 3×/week holds it.

25 units 050100 1 mL

Your insulin syringe is marked 0 to 100. That whole line is 1 mL. Draw to the 25 mark.

The protocolHow to mix it, how much to draw, and how long a vial lasts.
The numbers
Vial500 mg
Mix with5 mL BAC water (use "No-Sting") → makes 1 mg = 1 unit
Start25 units (25 mg), push the plunger slow
Go up by+5 units (5 mg) per dose as it feels comfortable
Sweet spot25 to 50 units (25 to 50 mg) per shot. Go to 50 if you still crash at 3pm.
FrequencyEvery day for the first 8 weeks (and any MOTS-c rebuild), then 3×/week to hold it
WhenAM, fasted, under the skin (belly) or into muscle
Cycle8 weeks daily, then taper: every other day for a week, 3×/week the week after. Hold there, or take a 4-week break and run it again
Units made simple: your insulin syringe is marked 0 to 100. That whole line = 1 mL. At this mix, 1 mg = 1 unit, so a 25 mg dose = draw to the 25 mark and 50 mg = the 50 mark. No math. Expect a warm tingle as you go up, that's normal, back off if it's too much.
How long one bottle lasts
At 25 mg 25u daily20 shots per vial (~3 weeks)
At 50 mg 50u daily10 shots per vial (~10 days)
At 25 mg 25u, 3×/week20 shots per vial (~7 weeks), the hold phase after week 8
The full 8-week runabout 3 vials at 25 mg daily, about 6 at 50 mg
One 500 mg vial = 500 units total. Because 1 mg = 1 unit here, just divide 500 by your dose to see how many shots you get.

What it doesWhat you get, how it does it, and what to know before you run it.
What it does for you
Restores real energyNAD+ is the direct fuel of your ATP engine, the "underpowered, not lazy" story lives here. Coffee borrows energy you don't have; NAD+ refills the tank that makes it.
Reverses the age declineYou lose ~50% of your NAD+ by 40 (and ~80% by 60). Restoring it is topping up the exact thing that fades with age, a big reason energy, recovery, and clarity slip.
Powers your repair crewNAD+ is the required fuel for your sirtuins (SIRT1 to 7), your DNA-repair and cellular-maintenance genes. No NAD+ = the repair crew can't clock in.
Mental clarityYour brain is the hungriest tissue you have. Clearer thinking and less afternoon fog are downstream of the ATP that NAD+ restores.
Builds new mitochondriaThrough SIRT1 → PGC-1α it doesn't just fuel old power plants, it helps grow new ones, which is why it's the perfect partner to MOTS-c.
How it works

NAD+ is a coenzyme your body uses in ~500 reactions, and it's the electron shuttle that lets your mitochondria actually make ATP (energy). It's also the fuel for sirtuins, your DNA-repair and maintenance crew. Levels drop about 50% by 40 and around 80% by 60, which is a big part of why energy, recovery, and clarity fade with age. Worse, it's a self-feeding spiral: making new NAD+ costs ATP, so as NAD+ falls, ATP falls, and your body loses the very energy it needs to rebuild its NAD+, you can't fully climb out of a deep dip on coffee and willpower alone. That's why topping it up directly matters. And when MOTS-c signals your body to build a whole new batch of mitochondria, that burns through your NAD+ pool fast, so refilling it isn't optional, it's the "payroll" that funds the repair crew MOTS-c commands.

What to know before you run it
You've lost half of it by 40. This isn't a slow, gentle fade, levels roughly halve by mid-life and keep dropping. A lot of what people call "just getting older" is really a battery running low.
Coffee vs. NAD+. Caffeine blocks your tired signal and borrows against tomorrow. NAD+ works the opposite way, it restores the machinery that actually makes the energy. One flogs the engine; the other rebuilds it.
Injected, not swallowed. Your gut breaks oral NAD+ down before it reaches your blood. Precursor pills like NMN and NR do raise NAD+, but slowly and indirectly. SubQ puts the molecule itself where it works, roughly 10× more usable.
NAD+ is the FIX for the MOTS-c crash. That crash is NAD+ depletion, not ATP, daily subq NAD+ turns ~3 weeks of misery into ~7 days.

How to run itMixing, injecting, what to eat, and what to take alongside it.
Mixing and injecting
Mix: add the 5 mL of BAC water slowly down the side of the vial. Swirl gently, never shake.
Store: in the fridge after mixing.
Inject: into belly fat (~2 inches from your belly button) or into muscle. Pinch, go straight in, push slow, pushing fast is what makes it sting. Rotate the spot, fresh pin every time.
Normal: the site may burn or go a little red, and you may feel a flush/tingle, it fades. Push slower and it's milder.
First time injecting? → Read Injection Basics (60 seconds, it barely hurts).
Your diet
Carbs on boardIf you're pairing it with MOTS-c, you NEED clean carbs (rice, potato, oats), building mitochondria without them stalls the whole thing.
ProteinEat real protein (steak/eggs, not pea-protein shakes), your body rebuilds NAD+ from it.
Boost it naturallyIntermittent fasting (18:6), exercise, and real sleep all raise your own NAD+. Cut processed food and fructose, which drain it.
Take these alongside it
Electron carrierCoQ10 / ubiquinol 200 mg daily with a fatty meal, new mitochondria can't run without it.
ATP cofactorMagnesium glycinate 400 to 500 mg at night (helps make ATP, also helps sleep).
Antioxidant supportZinc 20 mg and selenium 200 mcg daily protect the new mitochondria while they build.
Pair it withMOTS-c, NAD+ is what kills the MOTS-c fatigue dip. Run them together through the ~8-week build, then taper.
